I have found that using small whiteboards in my math classes has sparked more interested in the lesson being taught. I give them to my students and as I am talking about a topic they can write down questions they have on them. I then will answer the questions and sometimes I see if another student can answer the question instead of me. I also have them use them to work out and find solutions to math problems. They seem to really like to write in the boards more so than their own paper. When I am asking M/C questions they are also used to write down their letter response. I will then ask everyone to hold up their board with their answer. My students are always asking..."Are we using the whiteboards today?" It's nice to see them engaged in their work!
